Discovering Chicago’s Chinatown

This Saturday, December 5, the Museum opens its newest exhibition, My Chinatown. For the first time at the Chicago History Museum, we’ve created a multimedia theater experience that explores the history of a community through the voices of people who live and work there. During the development of this exhibition we’ve uncovered stories of amazing people, interesting places, and important events that have helped shape Chicago’s Chinatown. I’ll be sharing some of those stories here in the coming months.

Join us Saturday at the Museum, see My Chinatown for yourself, and enjoy a celebration of traditional Chinese art and culture. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. you can experience an awesome, live program of traditional Chinese dance, martial arts, calligraphic arts, and music.

Then keep coming back to this site for more stories about Chicago’s Chinatown.
