Grab the binoculars because it’s that time again. Summer at North Avenue Beach means the annual Chicago Air and Water Show, now in its 51st year. And thank goodness, it’s finally hot. This weekend’s forecast calls for sun, perfect for sky-gazing. When you feel like taking a break indoors, stop by the Chicago History Museum to check out a special moment in the history of this lakeside spectacular in the new community exhibit Lincoln Park Block By Block. Soak up some local history as you soak up the rays.
Today’s trivia question: Who was the honored guest to parachute with the famous Golden Knights at last year’s 50th anniversary Air and Water Show celebration? Come in and you’ll find out. If you are a diehard fan, you probably already know!

Definitely the best Chicago Air Show in recent memory on the 1st day. Day 2 was spread out and hard to see because of the rain and fog.
