In 2007, Randall Jenson Ward was interviewed by the Museum’s teen council for the Catholic Chicago oral history collection. I post this interview excerpt in the spirit of this week’s Out at CHM program, “Speaking Out Down South.” Randall came to Chicago from St. Louis to study at DePaul University, where he became an active organizer with LGBTQ students, their allies, and homeless youth. Listen to him as he describes his experiences from high school to college campus and his views on Chicago’s gay and lesbian community.
